What to send for a faster quote

The more detail you give us, the faster and more accurate the quote. Here is what helps.

  • Drawing or CAD file (PDF always welcome) — PDF, DXF, DWG, STEP, or a dimensioned sketch
  • Material — mild steel, stainless, aluminium, zintec, galv
  • Thickness — e.g. 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm
  • Quantity — prototype, batch or production run
  • Finish requirements — bare, powder coat, zinc plate, brushed
  • Tolerances — any critical dimensions we need to hit
  • Required delivery date — gives us a chance to fit you in
  • Follow-on work — folding, welding, tapping, fastener insertion

Accepted file formats

Always include a PDF. It lets us review your drawing straight away without opening CAD software. DXF and DWG are fastest for flat parts — our CAM software reads them directly. STEP is best for folded or assembled parts. Send the STEP alongside a PDF if you have a 3D model and we will flatten it.
